How our stores are built
A store's value isn't only its sales history. Ours come with the setup, the experience and the method behind them, and that is what you are paying for.
Built on AWS, not a template
Most new stores for sale are a theme on a hosted platform, set up in an afternoon. Ours run on Amazon Web Services, set up by someone who is AWS certified in several areas.
- Advanced security on the servers. The stores run on AWS servers with security we set up and maintain, not a shared template account.
- Domain managed in Route 53. Your domain sits on Amazon's own DNS service, built for reliability.
- Country-level blocking. Traffic from countries and search engines that are worthless to a US-focused store, such as Baidu, is kept out. Your visitors and your data reflect people who can actually buy from you.
28 years of running stores, not just building them
The person behind these stores has spent 28 years selling online, and has run retail stores too.
- Our own shopping cart for 17 years. We built and maintained an open-source shopping cart, programmed down to the deepest level, and installed hundreds of modules and custom data feeds.
- Ahead of the market. We offered members a Prime-style benefits package before Amazon announced Prime, and pushed live chat to customers before it was common.
- 35 shopping carts tested. From Magento to Shopify, tested personally. We have worked as Shopify developers too, so we know that platform's limits from the inside.
- Affiliate programs built and run. Campaigns on ShareASale, CJ and Awin.
That experience goes deeper than a platform's support team can offer, and it comes with your store. See what a hosted platform controls for how this differs from a Shopify store.
A method, written down
- A private library of 4,500 custom-written pages. How-to guides, step-by-step instructions, what to know, what to consider, and what we have learned over 28 years.
- Direct mentoring. You are not handed a store and left with a help-desk ticket queue.
- Be different, not a copy. We build stores to stand apart in their market. Your own store is the focus, not what competitors are doing.
A different approach to traffic
Ad platforms tell you to delete keyword phrases that bring only a couple of leads a month. We keep them. Hundreds of narrow phrases, each bringing a few highly qualified visitors, beat chasing broad terms that bring mass traffic, mass costs and few sales. The library shows you how to build campaigns this way.
What this means for price
A new store has no sales history, and we will never show you income figures for one. Sales are one thing a price can rest on, not the only one. With our stores you are buying the build, the infrastructure, the experience behind it and the method to run it. What you earn depends on the work you put in and how closely you follow that method.
Before you buy any store, from us or anyone else, read the due-diligence checklist. You can see every niche on our stores for sale page.
